At COVIC Training Solutions we teach that physical restraint should only be used when all other options of conflict resolution and incident de-escalation have been tried and failed; as a last resort. There are emergencies where physical intervention is the first option, and incidents that require this are also examined. We focus our training, not on restraint, but on how to avoid the need for it.
COVIC Training Solutions also offers a selection of SIA linked courses, such as the SIA Door Supervisor, SIA Door Supervisor Up-skill, and SIA Close Protection accredited by Industry Qualifications. An approved qualification and licence from the SIA is a legal requirement in order to work within the private security industry.
Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work (3 day) and Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day) courses are also available, accredited by Industry Qualifications.
